The Good: 1. Extremely unique game - no other game involves the same combination of game play, theme, and story line 2. Superb graphics & colors 3. Great amount of customization on everything - from the land to the buildings to vehicles 4. Easy to level up 5. Super fun to play The Bad: 1. Too many reloads as you play - but this is to be expected from a new game

Frontierville Review Although Zynga seems to have the corner on the most popular games on Facebook right now, they have once again outdone themselves with their newest creation: Frontierville.  In this unique game, you are pitted against the wilderness to see if you truly have what it takes to build up the next great frontier town.  You have several goals in the game, and these change as you go along.  While there is more than enough to do, it's up to you to decide just how your game experience will go - do you simply complete your goals or do you strive to become the biggest town around?  Let's take a closer look at what's involved in Frontierville from Zynga and why you are truly missing out on one of the best new games on Facebook.

Goal: One of the best things about Frontierville are the different goals that you have.  While the main goal is to level up your character, you actually have smaller quest-type goals that you will need to complete as you go.  These are basic things, such as clearing a certain type of land (i.e. grass, trees, etc), taking care of your animals, visiting friends, and so forth - things that you have to do to level up anyway.  When you complete one of these smaller goals, you gain some good rewards such as coins, food, and collectible items.  Then, you open up new goals.  When you couple these quest-like goals together with the overall goals of the game, it makes for one superbly interesting game play.  The goals alone earn Frontierville a solid 10 out of 10.

Game Play: Now the game play in Frontierville is pretty close to some of the other Zynga games, as it incorporates a ton of different game play styles into one.  First, you have to clear land such as grass, trees, rocks, and even animal bones - similar to the game play in Treasure Isle.  Next, you have to plant and harvest crops for food that you can trade in for energy - similar to FarmVille and Treasure Isle.  You also have to take care of your animals as well - similar to FarmVille.  You also have to build things, like cabins, buildings, fences, and more - which require you to harvest wood from chopping down trees.  And, you have to fend off wild animals such as rattlesnakes and gophers.  Everything you do in Frontierville gives you different things - usually a combination of experience points, coins, food, and collectible items.  You need coins to buy things you need for your area and plant crops, you need food to trade in for energy refills when you get low, and you need animals to help you along the way.  Everything that you do in Frontierville costs energy, just like in Treasure Isle.  The good thing is that it is easy to replenish your energy by trading in food for energy and you can gather food in so many different ways.

To top it off, as you go through the game, you'll collect special items and complete collections that you can trade in for better bonuses.  Also, you'll collect other items, such as cloth, that you can then use to create crafting items (like clothing).  The overall game play in Frontierville is extremely unique and combines some of everyone's favorite things from other Zynga games out there.  In fact, since the game play is so unique and it's based around a story line that is like nothing else out there on Facebook right now, it's easy to see why the game play alone gains a 10 out of 10.

Frontierville Farm Graphics: When it comes to the graphics in Frontierville, they are right on the money and exactly what you have come to expect from Zynga.  The characters are all similar to the ones in FarmVille and YoVille, so you'll have the same type of customization that you did there.  The different items in the game (from trees to collectible items) are excellently done - all of the details are superb, the colors are brilliant, and everything flows together perfectly.  There is nothing out of place in the game, and while you do have to refresh a bit right now, there are no serious bugs when it comes to movements or other graphical issues.  For a new game like Frontierville, it will blow you away and you will see why we rank the graphics at a 10 out of 10 as well.

Sound: Up for a hoe down?  That's exactly what you'll find in Frontierville!  The music is excellent, and will have you hungry for some BBQ & ready to wrestle a bear.  Of course, what would great music be without sounds and voice work?  The voice work that you'll find in Frontierville is excellently cute as well - with your character sporting a wonderful accent and saying things like "Howdy Partner!".  On top of the music and voices are the overall sounds of the game, such as birds, animals, and other general things like digging.  Zynga really outdid themselves here, as the sounds and music are downright perfect for the game and deserve a solid 10 out of 10.

Frontierville Market Special Items: While the special items are being added in still, you won't be disappointed with the ones that are already there.  One of the best things about Frontierville is that you can actually unlock items that you normally wouldn't have access to without tons of neighbors or a high level by using horseshoes, which is excellent and a great way to get specialty items that you wouldn't have had access to before.  Plus, the horseshoes that you can purchase with real cash to buy specialty items in Frontierville are extremely cheap - much more so than in other Zynga games.  This is a major improvement to the game overall and a great way to allow new players to level faster and gain specialty items that they normally wouldn't have had access to.  So, the specialty items gets a solid 10 out of 10 as well.

Overall, if you haven't tried out this sweet new game from Zynga, take a break right now and check it out.  It is by far one of the most unique Facebook games that we've encountered so far and will have you instantly addicted and playing for hours on end.
