Mafia Wars Tips
Money Troubles
If you get strapped for cash in any area, simply go up one level/episode/chapter and complete some of the jobs there for cash. The best cash flow is in the first chapters of any episodes, which means that you can always go up a bit and farm some cash and then go back down and finish the level that you were on.
Cuban Properties
As soon as you hit level 35, you want to head to Cuba and start to build up your properties. Don’t worry about doing jobs here yet, simply worry about your properties first of all. The main reason behind this is that you will need the consumables that are produced this way, and a lot of them in fact, so the sooner that you start to build them up, the better off you’ll be so that you don’t have to scramble for them later.
Cuban Money
In Cuba, you need to be sure that you are banking every bit of money you get or it will get robbed from you and you’ll end up with nothing. Don’t let this happen, especially since you have to build everything up from scratch. So, make sure that you bank all of your money as soon as you get some so that you can keep it all to yourself – without worrying about getting robbed.
Moscow Chapter 2
In this chapter, you will have to choose between Vory and Mafiya and master one of those jobs completely. Here is the catch, you cannot master one right off as both sides offer a consumable that you’ll need for the finale! So, you have to work both sides and then choose as you are about done with the whole chapter. Otherwise, you will have locked a side that you really need and lose that consumable.
Vory Vs. Mafiya
In Moscow, you will find that you have to choose either Vory or Mafiya in each episode. Here’s the trick to choosing: always choose to master Mafiya as the Vory side requires a Concealable Camera that you probably won’t have and won’t want to take the time out to go back and farm it.
Boet Collection
In Moscow, the Boet episode offers you a sweet collection that gives you a -20% energy cost on jobs DON’T vault this collection right away. If you do, it will lock that collection and you won’t be able to find any other pieces of it. So, instead what you need to do is not complete the total job tier right off, instead leave a couple of jobs before the end of the third mastery level and you'll be able to complete the collection a couple of times.
Ask for energy packs
You should also ask your mafia for energy packs and give them when you get asked. These are an instant energy boost, which will not only refill your energy, but boost it a bit higher as well.
Gift your mafia often
When you gift to your mafia constantly, you will see that your mafia members will gift you back as well. You'll gain a lot more goods that you really need by simply using your daily allowance of gifts.
Don't use the hitlist
Yes, it's there, it looks fun, but don't place anyone on it. Instead, just attack the person normally. When you place someone on a hitlist, your name shows up as well and it just makes you look like you're being kind of rude. Plus, higher level players that are bored will browse this list and whack those that they can just for fun. Don't let this happen to you.
Do the highest payout jobs first
This means that you want to use your energy wisely and do those jobs that payout the highest first. If you do this, it will be easier for you to cover those smaller jobs when you're done and maximize your experience and energy without much thought.
Blackmail Photos Are A Key Leveling Item
Gain Blackmail Photos With Ease — As you probably already know, there are a ton of these consumables that are needed in the Boss job tier. But, don’t worry, there are actually some very easy ways to gather them if you simply know a few tricks! Here are some excellent ways to gain the Blackmail Photos that you need without breaking your back trying to get them the normal way!
Since Blackmail Photos are listed on the free gifts page, ask your Mafia family to send you free BMP’s this way.
Although BMPs aren’t worth much when it comes to trading, you can easily trade some of the good loot that you do have for them. While it might make you a bit weaker temporarily, it’s well worth it to finish this level up without having to go back and do the backbreaking work of farming them.
If you have friends that are farmers, as them for BMPs as they will stack up on their accounts and they won’t use them nearly as much.
Learn When To Use An Energy Pack
Use energy packs wisely — Use up all of your energy first on jobs, then use your energy packs. If you don't, you're wasting free energy that you could be using for a whole other set of jobs.
Know When To Fight 'Em
Fight wisely — Yes, you get experience points from fighting, but it's only a small amount (under 10 usually). So, you fight wisely. If you are only a few points away from leveling and out of energy, fight to get there. Then, you'll get an energy refill when you level and be able to complete a whole other set of jobs.
Specialty Jobs Are Essential To Getting Ahead
Do specialty jobs when they are offered on the homepage — These usually do take a chunk of your energy to do, but they also have good rewards that you can use to trade in for different collections. The items that you get, money, and experience points are well worth the time and effort that it takes to do these jobs when they come up.
