Ready to really get into the advanced strategies of the game so that you can rocket past your friends? Here are the advanced tactics that you can easily use to your advantage:
- Gift to your friends: When you send gifts to friends, they'll return the favor. If you find that someone never gifts back — quick gifting them. While there are some very cool decorations that you can gift, you can always send fruit, which is probably the very best thing that you can send.
- Visit your neighbor's every day: You want to take the time to visit your neighbor's islands daily. There are many reasons for this, and even after your list grows, you will still want to keep visiting them to gain all of the benefits that their islands have to offer. For example, when you visit your friends daily, you can check both their treasure chests and their gem trees. This will give you a boost to your coins as well as add extra gems to your backpack to use when you need it. And, when you visit their island, you will get the chance to help them with a task that will also earn you coins and experience.
- Keep a close eye on your crops: Make sure that you're keeping a close eye on your crops as there is no give in harvest time. You will need to time it just right so that you are online when they are ready to harvest otherwise, you will have to start the process all over with withered crops.
- Watch for Treasure Isle postings: If you have friends that play Treasure Isle you want to make sure that you watch for their postings for bonuses, fruit, gems, and more. This can be a great way to add some extra goodies to your backpack and beef up your coins.
- Keep your postings to a minimum: While it can be tempting to post every bonus that you get, resist. By keeping your postings to a minimum, you can pick out the best ones to post and not run the risk of being "unfriended" by other people.
- Don't overbuy for your home island: Instead, ask for gifts or send gifts to friends to get items to decorate with. Save up your coins for bigger items and the tools you need to get through the game.
- Dig, dig, dig: You want to make sure that you are digging for treasure as much as you possibly can. Log in as often as you can and dig away until you have no energy and no fruit left. Then, ask friends for fruit and energy packs and log out.
- Don't ignore gifts from your friends: You never know what they will be, especially the treasure chest ones, and you can always use all of the fruit you can get. Plus, your friends will send you extra treasures that they find as well and you never know when one of those will be a piece you need to finish a collection and trade it in for a good bonus.
- Harvest your gem tree as often as you can: The more you harvest the better your pile of that color gem will be. Also, when you have harvested your tree, your neighbors can visit your island and harvest from you as well.
- Don't hesitate to ask for fruit or energy packs: That's what they are there for and your friends won't hesitate to ask for them from you. Make sure that you do this once a day so you can be sure to get the maximum energy you need for your daily treasure hunting.
- Become a fan of Treasure Isle: Once you do, you'll get access to some special news and postings about the game and you'll have access to their discussion boards where you can post that you're looking for more neighbors.
- Neighbors are a great thing: You can never have too many neighbors in Treasure Isle and the more the merrier! Think about it, even though it might take you a bit to go through all of their islands and gather up coins, gems, and experience — it will really pay off. And, the more friends you have playing the game, the better off you are to get more fruit, energy packs, gifts, and so forth.
- Time your energy and fruit together so you don't waste them: Here is one thing I learned the hard way too many times, I would get low on energy, so I would eat all of my fruit to keep going. Then, BAM! I leveled and my energy was refilled. If I had just paid attention to how much more experience I had left before I leveled, I would have been able to eat only a piece or two of fruit and save the rest for later, when I really could have used it. Don't fall into this trap! Instead keep a constant eye on your energy, your fruit, and how much more experience you need before you hit the next level.
