In Treasure Isle, you will find that there is a method that you can use to level faster than other people but it takes a bit of timing and strategy. To help you make the most of your time treasure hunting and help you maximize your fruits and energy packs, let's go through the different islands that you'll hit on your way through the beginning of the game. Once you see the basic strategy, it is much easier to apply it to the larger islands as you go higher in Treasure Isle.
Home Island
This is where you will start out the game when you log on. As you go, you can decorate your island however you want and there are plenty of great decorations that you can purchase along the way. Some of these decorations include Tiki huts, Tiki bars, flowers, trees, and more. You also are allowed two different plots to plant fruits on that you can harvest for energy boosts, so make sure that you time your crops for when you'll be on. Also, you get one colored gem tree that you can harvest once a day as well. You'll need different colored gems throughout the game to get past different tiki's on the islands. From your home island, you can also collect a treasure chest full of coins each day and you can access your boat that will take you to any of the other islands you want.
Traveling
When you are ready to travel, you will click on your boat on your home island or you can click on the little purple icon that says "Go Treasure Hunting". Clicking on your boat will take you to the maps of the other islands you can treasure hunt, and clicking on the icon will take you to the last island you were on. Using the icon can be faster than looking through the maps to figure out where you were. To help you through the different islands, let's go through them one map at a time. The first map is called Tiki Isles.
Tiki Isles Map
On this beginning map, there are 9 different islands, but you can only play 8 at the moment. You can go from any island to any other island without following a set path, but you have to at least complete Aloha Island, Sunny Shores, Palm Paradise, and Gem Gate Isle before you can move on to the next map. We'll just go through each of the islands in the best possible order to help you maximize your time and energy.
Aloha Island
The first island that you'll hit is Aloha Island, which is small and where you will go through your tutorial of the game. Completing this island is easy, especially since the tutorial will basically show you how to do it. It's a very small island, and not much is here besides the tutorial.
Sunny Shores
Sunny Shores is the next island that I hit, as it's smaller than any of the others on this map, except for Aloha Island. On Sunny Shores, start with the area that you're standing on when you appear on the island and start working in a pattern until you get to the end. I personally go in rows, unless I get a clue that will tell you a treasure is nearby in red, and then I will search the nearby areas to find it. You should easily be able to at least complete the island before your energy runs out and when you do finish it, you should gain a level as well.
Peaceful Bay
This is the next island I headed to, as it is just a hair bigger than Sunny Shores. Again, start working your way across the island. When you gain a level (either after you've finished Sunny Shores or while you're on Peaceful Bay, your energy will refill, so you can keep searching. Also, you will find fruit as you go, and you'll want to use this wisely — I show you how to do this in the Advanced Tactics area of this guide. You should easily be able to make it through Peaceful Bay as long as you keep an eye on your energy and fruit.
Palm Paradise
This is the next island I hit, as it is still a smaller island with a Tiki on it — meaning a good treasure is behind it under a smaller Tiki. Search this island, just like you have the other islands, and keep you energy under watch. If you find that you're getting close to leveling, don't use all of your fruit at one time. Just use one at a time until you do level, and if you are careful, you should be able to level while you're on Palm Paradise.
Tiki Atoll
This is the next island I headed to, as it's smaller than the remaining islands on your map. There is also a large Tiki here too, so you know that you'll get good treasure out of the smaller Tiki behind it. Since this island is larger than the beginning islands, you will still have to really watch your energy because you can actually time it right with this island to finish the island and get a huge xp boost when you do. If you're already close to leveling, then this should put you over the top.
Guarded Shores
This island is a bit bigger, but offers three different Tiki heads to search for treasure under which means that you can gain some great experience points here. This is an excellent island to visit when you are about to level, since there is a large Tiki head to use gems on plus all of the smaller Tiki heads to dig under.
Glimmering Shoals
This island is about as big as Guarded Shores, but only has one Tiki head to dig under. You will find some good treasure here and should be able to complete some of your collections.
Gem Gate Isle
Once you've finished up all of the other islands on the first map, you should be able to hit this island and finish it quickly. There is only one large Tiki head here for free experience and one smaller Tiki head to dig under.
Tiki Isles II
This is the second map that you will be able to go to after you finish up Tiki Isles I. Here is a map of the island and the different things that you can expect from this map:
Hula Village
This is the first island that you should hit as it will be one of the few open to you and one of the smallest ones. There are a few larger things to search under here, and only one large Tiki head and one smaller Tiki head.
Luau Bay
This next island is still small and you should be able to finish it as well. Again, you'll find some bigger things to dig under, like umbrellas, and one large and one small Tiki head.
Tranquil Beach
This is one of the bigger islands on the Tiki Isles II map, but offers a lot when it comes to free experience points. There are four large Tiki heads here that you'll need gems for that will give you +5 free experience each without spending any energy at all on them. There are only three smaller Tiki heads here though, but plenty of treasure to find.
Protected Cove
This is one of the other smaller islands on this map and easy to finish if you hit it with a full energy bar. There are no large Tiki heads here, only one small one.
Bikini Beach
Another small island on this map, Bikini Beach is great for leveling up as well since it's smaller. You also should be able to hit this island with a full energy bar and level up. But, there are no Tiki heads here at all for any boosts to experience.
Secret Lagoon
Now, this island isn't quite as big as the map makes it look, but it's still the biggest island on this map. There are only two large Tiki heads here and two smaller ones as well. But, you will find some great treasure here as well.
Vigilant Protector
This is the last island that you will hit before you finish the Tiki Isles II map and are ready to move on. This is a small island as well and one that is super easy to finish if you are careful. There is only one large Tiki head here and one smaller one to worry about.
Tiki Isles III
The third map that you'll be able to travel to is Tiki Isles III. Here, you'll find bigger islands, better treasures and more opportunities to get ahead in the game — if you play your energy right!
Mahalo Cay
Here is the first island that you'll hit when you get to Tiki Isles III and has three of the larger Tiki heads that you'll need gems for. While there are no smaller Tiki heads to search, you will still find some great treasures here on Mahalo Cay.
Little Kahuna
This island has three of the large Tiki heads as well and three of the smaller Tikis to search. While it looks bigger than Mahalo Cay, it's about the same size overall and pretty easy to finish.
Big Kahuna
I would recommend working on this one a bit at a time as you go, since it's got six of the larger Tiki heads you'll need gems for. This way, you can unlock some of the Tiki heads and then gather up more gems from friend's islands the next day. Don't waste money buying gems from the store, just gather them from your neighbor's islands instead to get by this big island.
Harbor Watchers
This one has tons of larger rocks that you'll have to search under as well and these will take a lot of energy. There are also four large Tiki heads here and only two smaller ones, so you'll want to make sure that you work on this island as you can with the different colors of gems and so on. It can take you a bit to finish this one.
Land of Lava
This is a really small island on the map, but hard in the fact that just about every area on this map takes a ton of energy to dig up. There are lava rocks that all take 10 energy, plants, multi-dig plants and more. So, it will take you plenty of time to complete this tiny island.
Isle of Trials
The last island on this map that you can visit (before level 40 at least) is the Isle of Trials. This one is really spread out, and has six large Tiki heads on it. There is only one smaller Tiki head, but several big rocks, tons of treasures, and plenty to keep you busy here. You'll also need to work on this one as you have the gems as there are several of these larger Tiki heads that take more than one gem.
Isle of Smiles
For those that are above level 40, you can visit the Isle of Smiles on this map. There are two large Tiki heads and two smaller ones here and plenty of goodies to make this one well worth visiting.
Monkey Palace
As of April 2010, this island isn't open yet. Let's hope that it is soon as the little picture alone makes it look well worth playing!
Tiki Isles IV
This next map offers a ton of game play and plenty of time to get leveling. Each of these islands offers multiple large Tiki heads, multiple small Tikis, boulders, multi-dig rocks and flowers, and so much more. You will spend a lot of time on this map — so get ready!
Desolate Land
While this island doesn't have any small Tikis, it does have five large ones and a boulder as well. You will also find a ton of big rocks and multi-dig items as well.
Deep Waters
This island offers you five large Tiki heads a couple of small Tikis and plenty of trees and rocks to dig.
King's Gauntlet
This is a very weird shaped island and although there is not a lot of land to it — it will take you a long time to finish because there are ten large Tiki heads, three small Tiki heads, plenty of boulders and tons of other rocks, trees, and multi-dig items.
The Long Reef
This island is probably one of the easier ones on this map as it offers only three large Tiki heads and trees and rocks. While there are a few multi-dig items on this island, there aren't as many as some other areas.
Wipeout Beach
This is another smaller island, but it will take you some time as well since there are six large Tiki heads here and plenty of small Tikis, rocks, trees, umbrellas, torches, and multi-dig items.
Kona Coast
Don't let the look of this island fool you either. With only two large Tikis, it might seem like you'll just have to get through some trees to be done with Kona Coast, but there are tons of multi-digs, rocks, and more that you'll need plenty of energy to get past.
The Great Palm
This is one of the larger islands here and one of the harder ones to pass as well. There are six large Tiki heads, six smaller tiki heads, and way too many multi-dig flowers as well as other objects that will take tons of energy. Be ready to tackle this bad boy, as it will take you a while to finish up.
Tenacious Isle
This is another of those islands that looks easier than it is. While there aren't any large Tiki heads here, there are plenty of small ones. To get to them though you will need tons of coins to buy dynamite to blast the boulders away.
Mayan Isles
The good thing about the Mayan Isles maps is that you don't have to finish the Tiki isles maps before you can head here. You do have to be over level 20, but once you're past that — you can pretty much go anywhere with a few exceptions: Jaguar Passage requires level 23 and Mayan Rock requires level 24. On the Mayan Isles map, you will find two islands that you can purchase to dig on: Secret Forest (10,000 coins) and Serpent Dream (8 cash). Both of these are small islands, but don't let them fool you.
Sacred River
This is a larger island with plenty that will keep you busy and draining your energy. There are only three large Tiki heads here, but there are tons of trees, stone paths, multi-dig items, rocks.
Antler Island
This is an odd shaped island with three large Tiki heads and plenty of trees and stone paths.
Divided Land
This odd island seems small and simple, but it's far from it. With all of the trees and stone paths to dig, you'll quickly lose a ton of energy. Then, you have the boulder in the middle that requires five dynamites to get past. Don't think that you'll get by this one very fast.
Jaguar Passage
This is one of the bigger islands on Mayan Isles map and offers you five large Tiki heads, plenty of smaller items to search and one boulder that will require five dynamites. There are tons of trees and stone paths here, as well as rocks, bug infested areas, and multi-dig items.
Mayan Rock
This island also is pretty tough, with six large Tiki heads, a couple of five dynamite boulders, tons of bug infested areas, and tons of trees, multi-dig items, and more. Mayan Rock will keep you busy for a while.
Secret Forest
This island is extremely small compared to the other islands on the map, but not all that easy. You have to pay 10,000 coins to purchase this island, and it's filled with trees, stone paths, and a few plants that you'll have to dig under.
Serpent Dream
This island costs 8 cash to purchase and is fairly simple to pass. There are two large Tiki heads here as well as some bug infestations. You'll find some good treasures here though, so get ready!
Mayan Isles II
Mayan Isles II will offer you even more challenges as well as a couple of other islands that you can purchase for both cash and coins: Shadow Garden and Brave Warriors. These islands are not for the faint of heart, they'll take a lot of time and energy to get through them.
Misty Swamp
The beginner island on this map is still pretty hard in it's own right. There are four large Tiki heads and some of the defiant stone boulders here. Take your time and use your energy as best you can to get this one gone.
Calm Pools
Even Calm Pools have their moments, and this one has four large Tiki heads. There are also bug infested areas and tons of items that will cost you plenty of energy to finish.
Ancient Quarry
This is one of the largest islands on this map and will take you a bit to finish. Just pace yourself and use your energy wisely. There are five larger Tiki heads here and tons of multi-digs, as well as rock that will need to be blasted and bug infested areas.
Defiant Stone
This is probably the hardest island on this map and will take you a long time to finish. There are several larger Tiki heads as well as multi-dig items and top them off with several defiant stone boulders that take a ton of dynamite... you'll be here a while.
Lonely Tree
Don't let the look of this tiny island fool you — it's filled with multi-dig items and plenty of other things that will cost you tons of energy. Be careful here and you can finish it quickly though.
Brave Warriors
This island will cost you 7500 coins and again — well worth the money. There is only one larger Tiki head here but plenty of items that will take you a bit of energy to finish.
Shadow Garden
This island will cost you 12 cash and is well worth it. There are four large Tiki heads here and several great areas to dig to gain some excellent treasure, coins, and cash.
